It's very easy to make these pinecone birdfeeders and your kids will love watching the birds eat the treats they make! Birds and backyard chickens love these treats!

If interested in buying a kit including all of the materials you need for this project you can purchase here: https://www.etsy.com/shop/MamaBsWreathsAndDIY

Needed Materials

  • Pinecones
  • Peanut Butter
  • Birdseed
  • Hemp Twine
  • Wax Paper
  • Craft Stick
  • Plate

1. Lay your wax paper down to cover your work surface for easy clean up.

2. Tie a piece of hemp twine to each pinecone. I find it easiest to tie one end to the bottom (fatter end) of the cone and use the other end to tie your completed project to a tree.

3. Dump your birdseed onto a dinner plate or paper plate.

4. Use the craft stick to spread peanut butter onto your pinecones.

5. Roll the peanut butter covered pinecones on the plate of birdseed to coat it.

6. Hang your completed pinecone feeder in a tree for the birds or somewhere for your backyard chickens to enjoy!
